Allow me to share a heartwarming story about the time I first made this Apple Fritter Bread. It was on one of those autumn mornings when the air was filled with the scent of freshly baked bread and fragrant cinnamon. As I carefully placed the bread in the oven my excitement grew with every passing minute. Once it was ready I couldn’t resist cutting into it. The aroma was so tempting that my husband and child hurried into the kitchen their eyes sparkling with delight as they took their first bite. From that moment on this recipe became an adored favorite in our household. One that I am thrilled to share with you today!

Ingredients

2 large eggs

1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla extract

⅓ cup of light brown sugar

⅔ cup of granulated sugar

1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

½ cup of unsalted butter, softened

1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour

1 ¾ teaspoons of baking powder

½ cup of whole milk

1 large Granny Smith apple, peeled and diced

1 tablespoon of granulated sugar

1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon

Glaze:

1 cup of Confectioners’ sugar

¼ cup of milk

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a bowl combine 1 teaspoon of cinnamon with ⅓ cup of brown sugar.

Grease a loaf pan measuring 9 inches with stick spray.

In a bowl beat softened butter (½ cup) together with granulated sugar (⅔ cup) until the mixture becomes smooth.

Add the eggs (2 ones) one at a time. Beat well after each addition.

Stir in vanilla extract (1 ½ teaspoons).

In another bowl mix all-purpose flour (1 ½ cups) with baking powder (1 ¾ teaspoons). Gradually add this mixture to the butter-sugar mixture.

Pour in milk (½ cup). Mix until the batter is smooth.

Carefully fold in the apples.

Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture on top.

Add the remaining batter. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon sugar mix over it.

Use a knife to create a swirling pattern on top of the batter.

Bake in your preheated oven, for around 40 to 50 minutes. Until a toothpick inserted into it comes out clean.

Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it onto a wire rack. To make the glaze combine 1 cup of sugar with ¼ cup of milk until it becomes smooth. Then drizzle this mixture over the bread.

Now it’s time to slice serve and savor each mouthwatering bite of your Apple Fritter Bread!
